BEIJING, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The First World Buddhist Forum ended in Mount Putuo, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Sunday, with a Putuoshan Declaration issued and a prayer for world peace at Putuoshan held.

    Over 1,000 people including many well-known Buddhists and scholars participated in the forum in Hangzhou and Zhoushan cities, Zhejiang Province, which began last Thursday.

    The forum is the first such event in the history of Chinese Buddhism. Enditem
