BAGHDAD, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Three Iraqi soldiers were killed and eight others wounded when a roadside bomb struck their patrolling southern Baghdad early on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.

"An improvised explosive device went off near an Iraqi army patrol at about 3:00 a.m. (2300 GMT on Friday) while traveling on the highway which passes through the Dora district," the source said on condition of anonymity.

Gunmen often attack Iraqi police and security forces, accusing them of being collaborators with U.S. occupation troops. Enditem
