Beijing to set up reporting center for IPR violation
www.chinaview.cn 2006-04-14 17:15:32

BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese capital plans to set up in June a reporting center dealing with intellectual property infringements.

The center will establish a quick response mechanism wherein various governmental departments will join hands in handling IPR violations, said Liu Zhengang, chief of Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau.

The move is part of the city's latest efforts to wipe out cases of IPR violations.

In addition to the projected center, the municipal government will also set up a system concerning administration of patented commodities in 100 large and medium-sized markets across the city.

In the meantime, vendors on garment and minor commodity markets are required to follow a practice of doing business with trademark franchise, according to the official. Enditem
