    BUENOS AIRES, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Argentine President Nestor Kirchner Tuesday congratulated the leader of Italian center-left coalition, Romano Prodi, on his electoral triumph, a Foreign Ministry statement said.

    The center-left coalition led by Romano Prodi on Tuesday beat incumbent Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's center-right in Italy's parliamentary election.

    Kirchner told Prodi that "with this triumph, a new chapter is unfolded, which will without doubt strengthen his country and contribute to upholding the principles of liberty, justice, human rights and solidarity in international affairs."
