WASHINGTON, April 10 (Xinhua)-- Jamal Crawford of the New York Knicks and Chris Wilcox of the Seattle SuperSonics were named the NBA's top players for the week ending April 9.

Crawford earned the Eastern Conference award after averaging 26.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.25 steals last week. He also drained a pair of game-winning jumpers to help the hapless Knicks post a 3-1 record.

On April 5, Crawford capped a career-high 37-point effort with a buzzer-beater to beat Cleveland. Two days later he hit the game-winning shot in a 98-96 win over Indiana.

Wilcox garnered Western Conference honors after averaging 23.0 points and 15.3 rebounds. He also shot 75 percent from the field as the Sonics went 3-0.

On April 4, Wilcox notched 26 points and a career-best 24 rebounds in a 104-87 rout of Houston and he followed it up with two more double-doubles in wins over Portland and Phoenix. Enditem
