SINGAPORE, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore will host this year's Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) to showcase the latest environmental technologies and solutions, according to Channel News Asia report on Monday night.
Some 100 companies from Japan, Australia, the United States and Europe are expected to participate in the three-day exhibition, which is scheduled to be held from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
Local companies can use the exhibition as a platform to find business opportunities while consumers can learn more about viable eco-products in the world so as to make educated choices, the report quoted experts as saying.
More than 40,000 visitors are expected to visit this year's EPIF, an annual event organized by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in collaboration with organizations concerned in host countries.
Established in 1961 and headquartered in Japan, the APO is an intergovernmental organization in the Asia-Pacific region aiming to contribute to the region's socioeconomic development through enhancing productivity. Its current membership comprises 20 governments.
This year's EPIF will be the third one held outside Japan. The first two fairs were held in Malaysia and Thailand respectively. Enditem |
