Brazil's historic space trip faces mixed reaction at home

    BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhuanet)-- Brazil's first astronaut's historic 10-day trip to the International Space Station (ISS) was met with both praise and criticism.

    MOSCOW, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A Russian spaceship carrying the outgoing crew of the International Space Station (ISS) and a Brazilian astronaut landed in northern Kazakhstan early Sunday, hours after it undocked with the station.

Brazil's first astronaut returns to Earth

    MOSCOW, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Pontes, a 43-year-old air force officer and Brazil's first astronaut who arrived at the station on April 1 along with a new ISS crew, carried a series of scientific experiments during his nine-day stay on the orbiting laboratory.
