MOSCOW, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A Russian spaceship carrying the outgoing crew of the International Space Station (ISS) and a Brazilian astronaut has undocked with the station and started its journey home, the Mission Control said on Sunday.

The Soyuz capsule "is due to land at 03:48 Moscow time (2348 GMT Saturday) near the town of Arkalyk in Kazakhstan," Valery Lyndin, spokesman of the Mission Control, was quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency as saying.

Onboard the ship were Russian cosmonaut Valery Tokarev and U.S.astronaut William McArthur, who had been keeping the ISS ticking over for about six months, and Brazilian astronaut Marcus Pontes, who stayed on the station for nine days.

Tokarev and McArthur were replaced by Russian cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov and U.S. astronaut Jeffrey Williams. Enditem
