JAKARTA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- The long-awaited return of Febi Widhiyanto to the Davis Cup team will help Indonesia field the strongest lineup, the Jakarta Post here on Friday quoted senior tennis player as saying.

"Our Davis Cup team is always at its best when it includes Febi. He is among the best when you compare him to Prima (Simpatiaji) and Suwandi," Indonesia's 1997 Wimbledon singles quarterfinalist Yayuk Basuki was quoted by the paper as saying.

Prima and Febi are scheduled to play the singles matches against Wing-luen "Wayne" Wong and Hiu-tung Yu of Hong Kong, respectively in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup Group II Asia/Oceania zone from April 7 to 9 in Surabaya.

It has almost two years since Febi last played in the Davis Cup, when he won both his singles matches against New Zealand in Jakarta on April 9 to 11, 2004.

Last year, he was not chosen to join the cup because he failed to meet a deadline to train with other team members. The Indonesian team then lost a 2-3 squeaker to Uzbekistan in singles matches. Enditem
