HOHHOT, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The third China-Russia Science and Technology Exhibition and High-tech Products Fair will be held from August 28 to 30 this year in Manzhouli, a leading inland port in Inner Mongolia autonomous region in north China.

Manzhouli Mayor Yun Guangzhong said the fair would provide a stage to showcase a great variety of products in areas like information technology, new materials and agriculture.

Yun added that the fair would offer more than 1,000 booths covering around 20,000 square meters.

High-tech firms, colleges and research academies from China, Russia, Mongolia, Japan and the Republic of Korea will attend the fair, said Chen Shuanghai, director of the local science and technology bureau.

Officials held that the fair will provide a platform for exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia in science and technology, thus optimizing science resources and promoting the transformation of scientific results into productivity.

The fair is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Academy of Science and the Inner Mongolia autonomous regional government. Enditem
