BERLIN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Only five percent of German fans believe their
soccer team will win its fourth World Cup title, a poll in Sport Bild magazine
showed on Tuesday.
About 29 percent believe Germany will be knocked out in thesecond round, and another 10.8
percent believe the hosts won't makeit past the group stage.
Germany plays the opening match of the World Cup against CostaRica on June
9 in Munich. It then faces Poland and Ecuador. Thefinal is scheduled for July 9
in Berlin.
Despite the grim outlook, 60.8 percent of those questioned said
they thought Germany coach Juergen Klinsmann was taking the rightapproach,
while only 30.5 disagreed.
Klinsmann has been criticized for experimenting with strikers,maintaining a
home in the United States and refusing to name a No.1goalkeeper.
The survey of 1,040 German fans over the age of 14 was conductedby TNS
