WASHINGTON, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Detroit' Rasheed Wallace on Monday received a one-game suspension from the NBA after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season.

The forward was hit with his most recent technical with 3:26 left in the third quarter of Detroit's 109-102 victory over Phoenix.

This season, the NBA implemented a plan in which a player or coach receives an automatic suspension after receiving his 16th technical foul.

Every other technical foul after that will also result in a one-game suspension without pay.

Wallace will serve his suspension on Tuesday when the Pistons, who have a best 59-14 record in the NBA, host the New Orleans Hornets. Enditem
