WASHINGTON, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Chris Paul of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City
Hornets and Raymond Felton of the Charlotte Bobcats have been chosen as the
NBA's top rookies for March.
Paul captured the Western Conference honor for the fifth-straight month, joining
Cleveland's LeBron James and Denver's Carmelo Anthony as the only players
to be named Rookie of the Month five times.
He led all rookies in assists (7.8 apg), steals (2.21 spg) and minutes
(37.6 mpg) while tallying 15 points per game, good for second among rookies.
Felton garnered the Eastern Conference award by leading all rookies in
scoring with 17 points per game. Over the final five games of the month, the
former North Carolina Tar Heel averaged 22.4 points on 46 percent shooting while
recording 5.2 rebounds and 9.2 assists.
He totaled double-doubles in four out of those five games and posted a
career-high 13 assists in a win over Orlando on March 21.Enditem
