Four U.S. soldiers killed west of Baghdad

    BAGHDAD, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Three U.S. Marines and one sailor were killed in an "enemy action" on Sunday in Anbar province west of Baghdad, the U.S.military announced Monday.

    The soldiers were assigned to the Army's 2nd Brigade Combat Team, which serves in Ramadi, capital of the volatile Anbar province, the U.S. military said in a statement.

    The latest loss has brought the death toll of U.S. military personnel killed since the March 2003 invasion to 2339, according to media tally.

    A total of 29 U.S. soldiers have been killed in March, whichsaw the lowest death rate for U.S. military since February 2004.Enditem
