Opponents said to end all rallies if Thaksin resigns
   BANGKOK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The People's Alliance for Democracy, an anti-Thaksin group, announced on Tuesday after a core members meeting that if caretaker Prime Minister resigns, they will end all demonstration activities.

   BANGKOK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The former opposition parties and leaders of street protesters on Tuesday both rejected the plan by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatara to form a reconciliation commission to try to end the division in the country.

   BANGKOK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Thai Prime Minister's Secretary-General Promin Lertsuridej said on Tuesday that some neutral persons were mediating between the government and its opponents to try to reach reconciliation.

   BANGKOK, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Thai Caretaker PM Thaksin Shinawatra said on Monday he would consider proposals concerning national reconciliation to put an end to the ongoing political turmoil, which displayed no sign of ceasing after the completion of ballot-casting in the troubled country.
