CANBERRA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived here Sunday
by special plane to continue his official trip to Australia, the first leg
of his four-nation Asian-Pacific tour.
Wen, who made the visit at the invitation of his Australian counterpart
John Howard, flew here from Perth, the capital of the State of Western
Australia.
During his stay in Canberra, Wen will hold talks with Howard and meet Governor-General Michael Jeffery and other Australian leaders. The two countries are expected to sign a series of inter-governmental agreements as well as documents on commercial cooperation. Enditem |
