    BEIJING, April 2 -- China's Wang Meng has captured a silver medal in the women's 1,500-meter short track speed skating race at the World Championships.

    Wang, the Turin Olympic champion in the 500-meter race, finished second in Saturday's 1,500-meter final, only 0.079 seconds behind the winner, Jin Sun-yu of South Korea.

    South Korean skaters have swept the podium in the men's 1,500-meter race, while China's Sui Baoku finished fourth.
