Sepcial Report: Tension accelerates in Iraq

   BAGHDAD, April 1 (Xinhua) -- A roadside bomb hit a policepatrol on the highway in eastern Baghdad on Saturday, wounding four policemen, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

   A police vehicle was also damaged in the blast, the source said on condition of anonymity.

   Insurgents frequently attack U.S. and Iraqi security forces in an attempt to cripple the U.S.-led political process in the violence-ravaged country.  Enditem
