www.chinaview.cn 2006-03-31 20:19:32

PYONGYANG, March 31(Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Friday condemned the United States for committing more than 180 acts of aerial espionage against it in March by using reconnaissance planes of different types.

The official Korean Central News Agency, quoting a military source, reported that the U.S. had used a U-2 and RC-135 to spy on major strategic targets and military installations in North Korea, and "Their RC-7B and RC-12 and other types of tactical reconnaissance planes committed nearly 150 cases of espionage in March,"

The DPRK also said the U.S. was using an overseas-based E-3 Sentry aircraft to command more than 2,000 fighters involved in the joint military exercise between the U.S. and South Korea, which started last week.

The DPRK previously claimed that the U.S. had committed more than 170 acts of aerial espionage in February and over 190 in January. Enditem
