BEIJING, March 30 -- European table tennis champion Tamara Boros is expected to join China's Liaoning club and play in the super league of China.

The 29-year-old Croatian, the right-hand player who is famous for her heavy offensive, will add the depth of the team led by two left-hand paddlers Wang Nan and Guo Yue.

The Liaoning team has received a funding of 2.6 million yuan from its new sponsor: the Liaoning Anshan Steel Corporation, ahead of the 2006 season to begin in May.

With the latest investment, the club is determined to return to the domestic league's top three after a disappointing fifth position last season.
