Chinese shot dead in Thai South

    BANGKOK, March 28 (Xinhua) -- A reportedly Chinese was shot dead in Thailand's southern province of Naratiwat on Tuesday afternoon, local radio reported.

    The report said a Chinese and his son were riding a motorcycle when they were attacked by unidentified gunmen at about 3:30 p.m. local time (0830 GMT) in Naratiwata's Ba Cho district.

    The 19-year-old son was dead at the scene and his father was injured.

    The FM 94 radio channel said that the two men holding Chinese nationalities came to Thailand for cloth business.

    Thai southern military source told Xinhua that some witnesses said the two Chinese are holding passport issued by China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
