He denounced that the Israeli occupation carries out its escalated attacks and insists on keeping the whole region in circle of blood conflict, telling the Israeli side that you were mistaken in your choice and you must be punished.

    Dealing with the difficult economic situations, Haneya said that carrying out reforms, preparing the internal Palestinian home and rebuilding the Palestinian institutions on democratic basis achieves political partnership for all.

    Haneya said his cabinet gives a priority to advance with the national economy, encouraging the productive economic sections and supporting the national products by all means.

    He, meanwhile, promised that his cabinet would protect the Palestinians' right in defending themselves in confronting the occupation, removing settlements and separation apartheid wall, and continuing their struggle till establishing an independent Palestinian state under sovereignty with Jerusalem its capital.

    "Our cabinet will work on developing the security apparatuses performance, strengthening its role as it's considered responsible for protecting our people and restoring their security as well as protecting the jurisdiction of law," Haneya pledged.

    He added that his government is committed to protecting the Palestinian democracy and strengthening partnership and political pluralism.

    PLC members convened in both the West Bank city of Ramallah and Gaza City on Monday for three days, aiming at discussing and approving the Hamas-led cabinet.

    Aziz Dweik, Speaker of the PLC, announced that the first-day sessions had begun in both Gaza and the West Bank, while Dweik and the entire PLC members in the West Bank were communicating with their Gaza colleagues via the live video conference system.

    Dweik said at the opening session, "The PLC is convening today to give confidence to the 10th Palestinian cabinet ever."

    "This session is historic for the Palestinian people who are eager to achieve their freedom and independence. We are practicing a unique democracy that has to be respected by the whole world," Dweik told the PLC members. Enditem
