KABUL, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A chopper crashed in the mountainous Nangarhar province in east Afghanistan on Monday, an official at Interior Ministry confirmed.

"The ill-fated helicopter hit mountain in Spinghar district of Nangarhar today," Dad Mohammad Rasa told Xinhua.

No one was killed or wounded in the incident, he added.

However, he said that the copper was damaged.

"A probe has been initiated to identify the cause of the crash or to whom it belongs," Rasa pointed out.

U.S. military or NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) have yet to make any comment. Enditem
