BEIJING, March 25 -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt buy
a lavish chateau once owned by Yves Saint Laurent.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bought a sprawling
chateau at Benerville near Deauville (West France) along the Normandy coast.
Chateau Gabriel was previously owned by couturier
Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge since 1978.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt instantly fallen for the
house built in 1874. Chateau Gabriel covers 850 square meters, has nine
bedrooms, and is located inside a 30 hectares park with different kind of
gardens.
Chateau Gabriel boasts such delishes as exotic
garden, Japanese garden of stones, and a traditional well-manicured park.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new house is
surrounded by woods and overlooks the sea. Normandy is a very picturesque area
of France famous for its rich, rolling countryside and orchards for apples. The
dairy produce of the region is renowned: its cheeses are world famous and
include Camembert, Livarot, Pont l'Ev¡§oque, Brillat-Savarin, Neufchatel, and
Boursin.
Could it be Angelina's newfound love for cheese that
she picked Normandy for her residence?
Deauville, which is about twenty minutes away from
Chateau Gabriel, is famous for its Casino Royale, the site of new Bond movie.
Angelina and Brad have been residing in Paris for
some time now in a quite shabby hi-rise apartment.
Angelina Jolie is reportedly going to give birth in
Paris as a tribute to her mother, French-born actress Marcheline Bertrand.
