Urgent: Japan reports first mad cow case with cattle raised for beef

    TOKYO, March 17 (Xinhuanet) -- A cow raised for beef in southern Nagasaki prefecture has been confirmed to have contracted the mad cow disease, the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced Friday.

    Former mad cow cases in Japan have all be found with diary cows.  Enditem
