UN calls for restoration of calm in West Bank

    UNITED NATIONS, March 14 (Xinhuanet) -- The UN Security Council expressed grave concern on Tuesday over escalation of violence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and called for restoration of calm inthe two areas.

    The council made the calls in a press statement issued after holding urgent closed consultations to discuss Israel's military action in the West Bank city of Jericho. Enditem
