Bush accuses Iran of contributing to unrest in Iraq
www.chinaview.cn 2006-03-14 03:36:59

WASHINGTON, March 13 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday accused Iran of being responsible for the unrest in Iraq, saying that some of the homemade bombs were from Iran.

Addressing on the Global War on Terror at George Washington University, Bush said "some of the most powerful IEDs (improvised explosive devices) we are seeing in Iraq today include components that came from Iran."

"Coalition forces have seized IEDs and components that were clearly produced in Iran," Bush said.

Remotely controlled explosive devices have reportedly taken a heavy toll on U.S. military forces in Iraq.

More than 2,300 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since war on Iraq started on March 20, 2003. Enditem
