Suicide car bomb kills 7 in Iraq's Fallujah

    BAGHDAD, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- A suicide truck bomb went off at a security force checkpoint in Fallujah in western Iraq on Friday, killing seven and wounding five, police sources said.

    The bomb blew off as many cars were lining up to pass the checkpoint and enter the city of Fallujah, 65 km west of Baghdad, said the police sources, adding that two of the wounded were policemen.

    Tensions in and around Fallujah are high as insurgents sporadically attack the U.S. and Iraqi governmental forces. Enditem
