RAMALLAH, March 10 (Xinhuanet) -- At least 15 Palestinians were arrested by Israeli army forces early Friday in various West Bank areas, Palestinian sources said.

The Israeli soldiers made the arrests during their incursions into the W. Bank cities and towns of Nablus, Qalandiya, Bethlehem and Ramallah, said the sources.

Among the apprehended, two Palestinian young men were identified as Ahmed Abdallah Fa'aor, 24, and Ahmed Saied Atahallah, 20, from the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces arrested four young Palestinians, identified as Hayan Mahmoud Tkatekah, 24, Ra'fat Mohamed Tkatekah, 25, Ghasan Mohamed Thwabtah, 33, and Amer Ameen Tkatekah, 21, claiming they were belonging to the radical Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Meanwhile, seven Palestinians were also arrested in Qalandiya in the north, while the other two detained in Ramallah, according to the sources.

On Thursday, Palestinian militants from armed wings of the Fatah movement and the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) fired four rockets on the southern Israeli town of Sedrot.

The stepped-up rocket attacks came after Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz vowed on Tuesday to continue targeted killings of senior Palestinian militants, warning that Palestinian prime minister-designate Ismail Haneya from Hamas might also be a possible target. Enditem
