plane crashed on Thursday in a mountainous area of Bolivia near La Paz, leaving
all six people onboard killed.
The Argentine Air Force Tango 21 suddenly began to
head down and hit a mountain peak after dropping medical supplies worth 1
million U.S. dollars to the eastern city of El Alto. Two pilots and four
military officers onboard were all dead, said reports reaching here.
Witnesses said they heard a loud explosion before the
plane began plummeting.
"Unfortunately, there were no survivors," Col. Johnny
Vera of the Bolivian Army was quoted as saying.
On behalf of President Evo Morales, Bolivian Foreign
Minister David Choquehuanca sent a message of condolence to his Argentine
counterpart Jorge Taiana on Thursday afternoon. Enditem
