BEIJING, March. 10 -- The controversy over Hu Ge's "Steamed Bun" video satire of Chen Kaige's "The Promise" has landed Hu the job of creative consultant at Zhejiang TV Station in East China. The station's recent press conference announced that Hu will be shaping a new show, the Shenzhen Economic Daily reported yesterday.

    The TV show, produced with Hu's ideas, is named "Three Kingdoms." It will be a modern comic drama with characters from the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) literary classic "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Luo Guanzhong.

    "The story will be written with modern comic plots but with an ending of rich philosophical meaning," said Hu Zhengpeng, producer of the drama. With the quick Web spread of Hu's comic video "A Bloody Case That Started From a Steamed Bun" and the highly publicized dispute with Chen Kaige, videographer Hu has become one highly regarded hot bun in television.

    After reading the draft of the planned "Three Kingdoms," Hu said he has felt the novelty of the stories would be extremely funny.

    Hoping for hot copy, reporters were disappointed at Hu's cool attitude at the press conference, responding to questions with "Ah," "Heh," or "Is it?"
