BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Abundant stationery and booming flowers are serving the ongoing sessions of China's legislature and top political advisory body here, a logistic official said.

Some 11,000 towels, 8,000 cups, 50,000 pencils, 14,200 note pads have been prepared for the two annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, according to Li Shejian, vice director of the administration of the Great Hall of People, where the sessions are held.

Chocolates and some 300 umbrellas are also prepared for participants to the sessions, said Li.

Among some 20,000 pots of flowers decorating the grand building in downtown Beijing, several pots of azalea over 20 years are worth at least 30,000 yuan (3,750 U.S. dollars) each. They are arranged in the lobby to greet participants and journalists, said a veteran gardener who identified himself as Fan.

In addition, more than 1,000 people are offering good service for the sessions, said Li. Enditem
