10 dead, 7 injured, 40 missing in accident in central Nepal

กก  KATHMANDU, March 7 (Xinhuanet) -- At least 10 passengers were killed and seven others injured, 40 missing when a bus heading forKathmandu from Kakarvitta met with an accident in Dhading districtin central Nepal on Tuesday.

    According to state-owned Nepal Television, the accident occurred when the bus collided with a private car coming from the opposite direction at around 4:30 p.m. (1045 GMT) Tuesday afternoon.

    The bus skidded off the road and fell 200 meters down into the Trishuli River, some 50 km west of Kathmandu.

    The injured have been taken to Kathmandu for treatment.

    Security forces of the unified security command and policemen have been engaged in the rescue operation, the TV reported. Enditem
