Russians celebrate Maslenitsa festival

Straw puppets are sold at a folk culture market near the Red Square in Moscow, capital of Russia, Feb. 27, 2006. The folk culture market was set up by local government to welcome the Maslenitsa festival, a traditional week-long holiday that will begin on March. 3 this year. Straw puppets symbolize winter and will be burnt in the last two days of Maslenitsa.
