Saddam trial resumes in Baghdad

   Trial of former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein and his seven aides resumed in a Baghdad court on Wednesday with absence of Saddam's chief attorney who walked out during Tuesday's session.

Saddam trial adjourned untill Wednesday

   The trial of Saddam Hussein and his seven co-defendants has been adjourned until Wednesday after the prosecution presented several documents to the court on Tuesday.

   The trial of the toppled Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and seven codefendants resumed on Thursday with the absence of all defendants.

Iraqi court appoints new chief judge in Saddam trial

    Iraqi court has appointed Kurdish judge Rauf Rasheed Abdul Rahman to replace Rizgar Muhammed Amin as the new chief judge in the trial of Saddam and his seven co-defendants, a court official told Xinhua on Monday.

Saddam trial puts Iraq in the dock
    Saddam and seven others face an Iraqi court created to try the former leader and his associates. The trial will start by examining the murder of 140 people in Dujail in 1982. If convicted, the guilty will be sentenced to the gallows.
