KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- Two Singaporeans wanted for murder in their home country were arrested Saturday in a police raid in Malaysia.
In the raid conducted in a 5-star hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur, police seized 6 pistols, 203 rounds of ammunition and at least 4 kilograms of ketamine drugs.
The 2 Singaporeans, together with 4 other people nabbed in the raid, will be remanded for 5 days to facilitate the firearms investigations, said Kuala Lumpur police chief Mustafa Abdullah.
"We will investigate the case under the Firearms Act. After investigations are completed, we will hand over the suspects to our Singapore counterparts," Mustafa was quoted as saying by localmedia.
Mustafa told reporters that the Singaporeans were wanted by therepublic's police for suspected involvement in a murder on Feb. 15.
He added that Singapore police had asked for Malaysia's help totrack down those suspects. Enditem
