BERLIN, Feb. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Consumer confidence in Germany roseto a 12-month high in March, a key index released on Thursday showed.

    The market research institute GfK said that the index, which projects household spending a month ahead, was set to rise to 4.8 points in March from February's 4.6 points. The index was based ona survey of about 2,000 people.

    On the same day, the Munich-based Ifo economic institute said business confidence rose to 103.3 points in February, the highest level in more than 14 years. It was 101.8 points last month.

    The measure is based on Ifo's polls on 7,000 company executivesabout their assessment of current business and their expectations for the next six months. Enditem
