กก BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- China and Pakistan celebrated
the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two
countries at a reception here on Tuesday.

Addressing the reception, visiting Pakistani
President Pervez Musharraf said that Pakistan commits itself to the all-round
development of its partnership with China.
He said Pakistan and China, as close neighbors, enjoy
the friendship deeper than the ocean and higher than the mountain.

Chinese Premier Wen
Jiabao called for the consolidation and development of China's strategic and
cooperative partnership with Pakistan in a meeting with visiting Pakistani
President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday.
He said China and Pakistan share an
all-weather friendship, pledging that China will continue to cement the
cooperation based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in order to

Visiting Pakistani President
Pervez Musharaff on Tuesday spoke highly of the friendship between
Pakistan and China, saying it was "deeper than the ocean and higher than
the mountain."
Musharaff made the
remarks in his speech titled "Reflections on Contemporary Issues on
Peace, Security & Development," delivered at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences
