Malaysia confirms 40 chickens die from bird flu

 กก KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- Malaysian Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry Tuesday confirmed that 40 free range chickens died from the H5N1 avian influenza virus.

    Tests confirmed the death of the free range chickens last week was caused by H5N1 avian influenza virus, said Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Muhyiddin Yassin in a statement issued through Malaysia's national news agency Bernama.

    The death was an isolated case and the public did not need to worry as there was no death involving a human from the virus, saidthe minister. Enditem.
