Tehran, Feb. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal arrived in Tehran on Sunday for high level talks with Iranian leaders on Palestinian's future development, reported the IRNA news agency.

    At the International Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, Meshaal expressed his gratitude to Iran and its people for their support to the Palestinians in recent years, said the report.

    It is Meshaal's first visit to Iran since Hamas, or the Islamic Resistance Movement, won the Jan. 25 Palestinian parliamentary elections.

    Meshaal is to meet Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other high-ranking officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Enditem
