Kashmir Liberation body to hold talks with Indian PM
www.chinaview.cn 2006-02-15 21:21:30

NEW DELHI, Feb. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik will meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Feb. 17, New Delhi Television reported Wednesday.

The JKLF wants a place for Kashmiris in the decision-making dialogue process between India and Pakistan.

JKLF claims that it is an indivisible political entity and that the State or any part of it is not a constitutional part of India or Pakistan. It is fighting for making Kashmir an independent state. The Front is operating in Indian as well as Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

JKLF General Secretary Ghulam Rasool Dar alias Edi will accompany Malik for the consultations.

Malik said the decision to meet the Prime Minister was taken after two days of hectic discussions within his faction.

Malik added that he was in favor of initiation of a dialogue where talks were held in countries other than India and Pakistan and there was no discussion with the chief minister of Indian-controlled Kashmir on the issue. Enditem
