BAGHDAD, Feb. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- A suicide bomber blew himself up among Iraqi police commando members in southern Baghdad district on Sunday, killing three Iraqis, including two policemen, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A suicide bomber wearing an explosive-vest blew himself up at about 11:30 a.m. (0830 GMT) among members of the Iraqi police commando in the Eshrin Street in Baiyaa district," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast killed two commando members and a civilian and wounded five other civilians, the source added.
Insurgents frequently attack Iraqi security forces in an attempt to cripple the U.S.-backed political process in the violence-ravaged country. Enditem |
