    CESANA SAN SICARIO , Italy, Feb. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Michael Greis of Germany won the gold medal in the biathlon men's 20km at the Winter Olympics on Saturday.

    The German clocked 54:23 to win the Games' first gold, beating five-time gold medalist Ole Einar Bjoerndalen of Norway by 16 seconds.
