ZHENGZHOU, Feb. 11 (Xinhuanet) -- Twelve miners were killed and three others are reported missing in a gas outburst taking place on Friday evening at a coal mine in Dengfeng City of central China's Henan Province, said sources with the Henan Provincial Coal Industry Bureau.
When the outburst occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 56 miners were working underground at Malingshan Coal Mine, which belongs to Zhengmei Group. About 41 miners escaped.
By 4:28 a.m. Saturday, the bodies of 10 victims have been hoisted to the ground.
