BAGHDAD, Feb. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- A car bomb went off near a Shiite mosque in southern Baghdad on Friday, killing four worshippers and wounding 21 others, a police source said.
"An explosive-laden car parking near the Iskan al-Shaabi mosque in the al-Doura district detonated at about 1:10 p.m. (1010 GMT), killing four worshippers and wounding 21 others," Captain Ahmed Abdullah, from Baghdad police, told Xinhua.
The blast occurred as dozens of worshippers were leaving the mosque after the weekly Friday prayer, Abdullah said. Enditem |
