BEIJING, Feb. 10 -- Athens Olympic silver medalist Wang
Hao and World Championship runner-up Ma Ling have secured berths table tennis
World Team Championships.
Wang Hao placed second in the standings coming into
the final day of the four-day national trials. He won his two matches in the
afternoon to become the first qualifier to play for China in the world team
championships.
Veteran Ma Ling managed to move up on the tally to
finish second overall and secured the second berth on the Chinese team.
