WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- The U.S. Senate Russell office building has been evacuated after detectors in the building signalled the possible presence of a nerve agent late Wednesday, the CNN television reported.

The report said eight senators and more than 200 senate staffers have been evacuated to the garage while Washington police are on the scene.

A first test of the agent has been positive and a second test has been negative. A third test is still going on, CNN said. Enditem
