HONG KONG, Feb. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Preliminary testing of a little egret found dead in Tuen Mun has indicated a suspected avian influenza case, Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department said Tuesday.

The carcass was collected near Lung Mun Oasis on February 3.

There are two commercial chicken farms nearby. No abnormal mortality or symptoms of avian flu was detected among the fowl, the department said.

The department urged the public to observe good personal hygiene and avoid contact with wild birds and live poultry. Enditem
