PORT-AU-PRINCE, Feb. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Voters began casting their ballots early Tuesday in Haiti, where one of 32 candidates is to be elected president of the volatile country.

Balloting officially began at 6:00 a.m. (1100 GMT), and some voting centers were not open as electoral officials made last minute preparations.

It is the first presidential and legislative elections since the overthrow of former President Jean Bertrand Aristide in February 2004. More
