CHENGDU, Feb. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- Sichuan Province in southwest Chinareported 83 billion yuan (10.3 billion U.S. dollars) of local fiscal revenue in 2005, up 23.6 percent year-on-year and 1.4 times over 2000.
Total expenditure in local budgets added up to 108.2 billion yuan (13.5 billion U.S. dollars), up 20.9 percent year-on-year and1.4 times the 2000 figure, said a report released by the provincial bureau of statistics.
At the end of 2005, local financial institutions reported a balance of 990.5 billion yuan (123.8 billion U.S. dollars) in savings, up 17.1 percent from the same period of 2004 and 1.2 times that of 2000.
Balances of bank loans stood at 674.3 billion yuan (84 billion U.S. dollars), up 8.7 percent year-on-year and up 66.4 percent from 2000. Enditem |
